The Australian Film Institute presents the AFI Awards each year to recognise and celebrate excellence in Australian film and television production. Now in their 50th year, the AFI Awards are the Australian film and television industry’s longest running and most prestigious awards.
The awards season kicks off with the L'Oréal Paris 2008 AFI Awards Screenings, where members from each state are invited to view selected films and then cast their vote.
